Sami Abrar

Abdalla Ali Al-Baalawy is AAA Law LLP’s Founder and Managing Partner, providing legal services and mentorship to numerous communities.

Abdalla obtained a B.A. at the University of Toronto focusing on Economics and International Development Studies. He then went on to obtain his law degree at the Law School of the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. Upon his completion, Abdalla returned to Ontario, Canada where he got called to the bar. He has been a member of the Law Society of Ontario, Canada since 2018. Abdalla is also a member of the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers, and the Toronto Lawyers Association. His main areas of practice are:

Abdalla likes to define himself as a change maker. He has a deep commitment to community and civic engagement. He was previously a member of the student union at the University of Toronto where his passion for advocacy began. Abdalla is a firm believer in helping others achieve their potential, and follows the saying: “anything is possible, impossible is nothing, and if you can believe, you can achieve.”

Thabang Pebane is a Partner at AAA Law LLP, with a passion for providing legal services to our clients and ensuring that their cases are handled with great care and consideration.

Thabang obtained a B.A. Honours in Criminology and Political Science from the University of Toronto. He then went on to complete a Graduate Diploma in Law and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Cardiff in the United Kingdom. Upon his completion, Thabang returned to Ontario, Canada, where got called to the bar in 2019. Thabang is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, Canada, and also a member of the Ontario Bar Association. His main areas of practice are:

Thabang has a passion for finding innovative ways to solve legal issues or disputes. Thabang is very accessible to our clients and works tirelessly to advocate on their behalf. Outside of the work environment, Thabang enjoys providing tutoring and mentorship services to law students, playing sports, and participating in community engagement initiatives.

Sami Abrar is a Dual Qualified Lawyer, licensed as a Barrister & Solicitor by the Law Society of Ontario and called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. Specializing in Corporate & Commercial Litigation and Real Estate Litigation, Sami delivers strategic, client-focused solutions with a commitment to excellence and professionalism.

With a robust foundation in legal practice, Sami previously served as a Student at Law and Litigation Law Clerk in Toronto, where he  honed his skills in client communication, drafting a wide range of legal documents—such as pleadings, mediation briefs, affidavits, and facta—and managing complex litigation files. His experience includes reviewing client documentation, compiling affidavits of documents, and actively participating in examinations for discovery, pre-trial conferences, mediations, and proceedings before the Landlord and Tenant Board, Civil Practice Court, and Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

Earlier in his career, Sami worked as a Legal Assistant, supporting Ontario Residential Real Estate transactions and collaborating with clients, mortgage brokers, and financial institutions, further strengthening their practical expertise.

Leveraging dual qualifications and a passion for continuous learning, Sami adeptly navigates intricate legal challenges to achieve efficient and effective outcomes for clients. Beyond the courtroom, he enjoys travelling, embarking on cross-country and cross-border road trips to explore diverse culinary experiences.

Sumayya Mohammed

Law Clerk

Husnah Mad-hy is an Articling Student at AAA Law LLP, where she provides strategic legal support across various areas of litigation. She is committed to delivering thorough and client-focused representation, ensuring that each case is approached with diligence and care.

Husnah obtained her LL.B. from the University of Manchester, UK, and a Master’s in Global Affairs from the University of Toronto. She hopes to be called to the Ontario Bar in June 2025. Prior to articling, she worked in anti-money laundering (AML) compliance at RBC, where she conducted enhanced due diligence on high-risk sectors. Additionally, she has experience in research consulting, policy analysis, and international legal issues.

Husnah thrives on research-driven advocacy, tackling complex legal issues with a creative and analytical approach. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring issues related to Africa and sustainability, staying active, and experimenting with creative pursuits.

Sumayya Mohammed is AAA Law LLP’s Law Clerk, providing legal assistance to the firm and its clients. Sumayya graduated from George Brown College with a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Services. She has been a part of AAA Law LLP since 2019. Sumayya has a passion in working with the community, and she has been able to showcase her skills during her time in George Brown College. Sumayya has been involved within multiple community organizations since then.
